You're Invited to the April Fools Teacher-Student Jam on Sunday, April 1st from 6pm to 9pm

Swing on by for a night of fun, great music and a chance to see some of our Teachers and Students JAM OUT like nobody's fools!  The Cafe will be flowing with great food specials and delicious desserts that are no joke!  
Bring your buddies and your sense of humor...all for a great cause!   Tickets $5   All proceeds to benefit the Rick's Music Scholarship Fund.

Wolf & The Jam Daddies -Open Mic Feature 3/15/12

Wolf & The Jam Daddies is a Band that was put together from Blues Jamers who played together and became good friends. The Band members are Bruce on Keyboards & Harp, Billy on Drums, Steve on Bass & Wolf on Guitar & Vocals.

Voted best Weekly Jam for 2010 & 2011 in The Providence Phoenix and nominated for 2012.  Voted best Blues Act for 2011 in Motif Magazine. The Band, believe it or not, has only rehearsed once in 6 years.   "We just go for it, and have fun playing Blues and making friends, not fans," says Wolf.

Their music combines their backgrounds in traditional, country and gospel music with their taste for contemporary singer/songwriters. Their styles and song choices are varied, but always heartfelt and fun. Guitar Workshop with Brooks Williams -2/12/12 3pm-5pm

SIX TRICKS OF THE TRADE ~ RIFFS, RHYTHMS and CHORDS

Six Tricks of the Trade is a workshop that explores six riffs, rhythms and alternate chord shapes that will enrich, enliven and expand your guitar skills.

We will look at each technique in the context of how they are used in a song and then explore how each technique might be applied to other songs and the participants own music. This will be a fun, hand’s-on workshop with lots of playing, jamming, and singing.

This Workshop is ideally suited for guitarists who know how to play the basic chords (e.g. A, D, E, G, C, F, B7, Am, Em, Dm).

What to bring? A guitar, picks (if you use them) and a capo.
